How TypingTestMock handles typing text, browser history, support messages, security cookies, server logs and Google advertising.
Who this policy covers
This policy describes the TypingTestMock website at typingtestmock.com. It covers the typing tools, games, saved browser records, support form and website administration. For a question or a request about information submitted to this site, use the contact form. No learner account or payment is required to use the practice tools.
What happens to typing text
Your answer is scored in your browser. The application does not submit the reference you paste into My own paragraph or the answer you type to a student database. Custom paragraphs and mistake-drill words remain in the current page and disappear when that page is reloaded or closed. A saved custom-text result uses a generic passage label; it does not include your paragraph. Avoid using passwords, customer records or other private documents as practice material.
Preferences, history and local storage
The browser can save your selected language and whether you chose Remember results. When that option is enabled, the site keeps up to fifty recent typing results in local storage on that device. Results contain the date, score, language, passage label and practice settings. Optional game best scores are also stored in the browser. These records are not a shared leaderboard and are not synchronised with another device.
Saved typing sessions contribute to daily practice totals. The site retains up to ninety days of those totals in this browser and stores a daily goal when you choose to save it. My progress builds its recent chart from saved results. Clear history removes typing results, daily totals and the goal. Game best scores have a separate clear control. Browser settings can remove all site storage, including preferences. Clearing site data or switching browsers can remove your records permanently.
Temporary session storage holds passage identifiers so that an opening paragraph is not repeated before a selection cycle finishes. That list does not contain your typed answer and is not sent to the server. Downloaded text and PDF reports are files controlled by you and your browser rather than copies uploaded by this application.
Messages sent through Contact
The contact form sends the message, optional name, optional reply email and optional page reference to the website's private support inbox. The server records a submission time and whether the report has been marked resolved. Only website administrators can access the inbox. There is no automatic email service behind the form. A reply address is optional and does not create a marketing subscription.
Messages older than thirty days are removed when the contact form or admin inbox is accessed. Administrators can delete a message earlier. To request deletion, submit enough detail through Contact to identify the earlier message without resending sensitive information. Archived site backups may still contain an earlier copy until those backups are removed.
Security cookies and request logs
The contact form uses a first-party session cookie to validate submissions. The admin area uses a separate session cookie for secure sign-in and request protection. These are separate from optional saved practice results. To limit abuse, the support form stores a keyed hash of the connecting IP address and a short-lived request count; entries more than an hour old are cleared when contact requests are processed. Failed administrator sign-ins also use temporary hashed-address counters.
The web server records requests for operational and security purposes. Such logs can include the IP address, request time, requested address, status, referring page and browser user-agent. A page request log is not a recording of every character entered in the practice box. Access is restricted to server administration. The site's log files rotate daily with up to fourteen rotated files retained; quiet files and technical failures can affect the precise age of a retained file. Backup archives are kept outside the public web directory and may retain earlier records until removed.
Google advertising and your choices
The current advertising setting is shown at the top of this page. An AdSense account verification tag and an ads.txt record do not by themselves display an advertisement or load the advertising script. When guide advertising is enabled, the advertising script is loaded on eligible published learning guides. Typing tools, games, progress, contact and site-information pages do not load it. The operator must configure and test applicable consent settings before enabling advertising and keep these disclosures consistent with the service actually used.
When Google advertising is enabled on eligible pages, third-party vendors, including Google, can use cookies and other identifiers to serve, measure and personalise ads based on visits to this and other websites. Google and its partners may receive information such as IP addresses, browser details and ad interactions. Any consent message shown for advertising provides the choices applicable to that setup. This website's preference or history controls do not change a separate Google advertising choice.
Links and changes
An external link takes you to a service governed by its own practices. Official examination links are provided as references; those organisations do not operate TypingTestMock. This policy is updated when the site's data handling changes. The updated date describes an actual revision, not a promise that every external policy was reviewed on that date.
